TAG: The Gods of Olympus

Saturday, August 09, 2014
Hello Everyone! so today I'll be posting a booktag from youtube. It looks really fun so I decided to do one on my blog instead, since I haven't gotten around to making my youtube channel yet. This tag was originally done by A Mind Needs Books so just click on that link right there to take you to her channel.

The name of the Book Tag that I will be doing today is.... THE GODS OF OLYMPUS TAG!!!

Sounds very interesting huh? *wink wink*

Okay so what's gonna happen is, I'm going to be putting the questions and I'll just post the answers below.

Zeus: Name your favourite fictional leader, good or bad?

Now, that's a hard one. But the first person who popped out of my head was Dumbledore from the Harry Potter series. Let's face it, this guy probably knows everything about anything. And he, was willing to sacrifice himself for the greater good.

Hera: Who are your favorite fictional parents?

Another from the Harry Potter series, I'd go with the Weasley's. They are just the type of parent I'd want to have, if I would get to choose. They're very warm, loving, and accepting. They never once made Harry feel that he was not a part of the family. They'll protect their kids with their life. Plus, they never let their financial status affect their family.

Demeter: What fictional food would you like to try?

A third one from Harry Potter! I do want to try Butterbeer, Every Flavored Beans, Chocolate Frogs... Oh my Gosh! Every food from Harry Potter! But I do want to try Ambrosia too. The drink of the Gods. :)

Poseidon: Name a book where water is central, either in setting or plot.

Lies Beneath by Anne Greenwood Brown Honestly, I don't really remember what it was about. All I remember was the guy being a mermaid.

Dionysus: Which character would you most like to have a party with?

Who throws the best parties in the fictional world? I'm sure you guys know the answer to that. I'd love to go party with Magnus Bane from the Mortal Instrument, Infernal Devices, and Bane Chronicles series.

Apollo: Either, name a great debut book (so an author's first published work) or name a first book in a series you really enjoyed.

I'd probably go with Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. Why? The first book was a really unique read for me, it has all these strikeouts that made it an interesting read. Plus, the entire series was just phenomenal. The writing. The pacing. The characters. Most importantly the characters. They're well developed and just absolutely loveable.

Artemis: 'Of all the Greek goddesses, she was the most self-sufficient, living life on her own terms, comfortable both in solitude and in holding the reins of leadership.'* Who is your favourite female heroine?

I have quite a few, but I'll go with Meghan Chase from the Iron Fey series by Julie Kagawa. I just love everything about her really. She was strong, loving, and most of all, not whiny. Another one would be Tessa Gray from the Infernal Devices. Like Meghan, she's just amazing. Also, two hot guys are falling over their feet for her - there must be a reason right? LOL

Athena: Name a character who is wise.

I'd have to go with Dumbledore again on this one.

Hermes: If you could travel to any fictional setting (real world or fantasy) where would you go?

I'm definitely not gonna go to any dystopian world that's for sure. I'd go to the New York and visit the New York Institute. Yep. I wanna join the world of the Shadowhunters.

Hephaestus: If you could have any fictional tool made (for example a weapon or a gadget), what would you want?

Too easy. I'd want my own wand from Olivanders.

Ares: What is your favourite fictional battle?

It would have to be a tie between the final battle between Voldemort and Harry from the Deathly Hallows and the final battle (not sure if it's really a battle but whatevs) on the Clockwork Princess.

Aphrodite: What is your ultimate ship (the characters do not have to be from the same book)?

I love Daemon and Katy from the Lux series. They're just really cute.

Hades: If you could petition Hades to bring any fictional character back from the dead who would you choose?

GUS!!! from The Fault in our Stars. I want to bring him back and marry him. :)

Final question(s): If you could be a God/ Goddess of anything what would you want to be and what do you think would fit your personality? These do not have to be the same.

I'd be the Goddess of Unread Books because I seriously have a lot of unread books. Haha. I'm a hoarder.

So I'm tagging all of you for this tag, leave me a comment if you have so I could check on your list too! :)

  3. Greek mythology + books = my life. ❤

Seriously. This tag is just absolute perfection, and I love how it combines Greek mythology and books so wonderfully. :) And I completely agree with your answers 100%! The Weasly's are seriously the best parents ever; and Dumbledore is absolutely wise and pheonominal as a leader. (If I were to do this I would probably choose Annabeth Chase as Athena - ha! That probably doesn't count though since she's Athena's daughter.)

    Thanks for sharing! <3
